Weight loss is not complicated process – the only thing you need to do is to burn more calories that you consume. Fairly simple, right? Unfortunately, losing weight is not as easy as that and a lot of people never manage to achieve their ideal weight. Experts are often pointing out that doing even low-impact exercises like walking or elliptical for 30 to 60 minutes few days a week can give you great results in the long run, but the problem is that we generally move less and less, which in turn leads to being out of shape and gaining weight.
However, the good thing is that you can incorporate many different ways to burn more calories in your daily life that will not only ramp up your calorie burn, but it will also help you spend more time with your family, save time, save money and all that while improving your health.
Few ideas to help you burn more calories, without going to the gym or working out outside:
- First thing you can try is to wash your car yourself and not take it in the drive through wash. On average you can burn up to 140 calories during 30 minutes of washing your car, along with saving money from not having to pay at the drive through. Furthermore, this is a great activity to get your kids involved and the whole family can have fun.
- Most of us go with our cars to cleaners, video store or supermarket. During those drives you burn much less calories than what you could have burned if you left your car at home and gone to the store with your bicycle or by foot. If you don’t have to get a lot of stuff from supermarket, just take your backpack with you and you will have no problem taking what you bought home. The good thing about this idea is that you will save money that you would have spent on gas, decrease pollution that car produces and burn more calories.
- Many people – especially in the United States decide to order dinner or pickup food from local fast-food diners, which is the faster way, but not only that it is not healthy – it will also mean that you won’t spend any extra calories. There is one simple thing that you can do, that will help you burn more calories and eat more healthier food – cook dinner yourself. It could take from 15 to 45 minutes to prepare dinner, but it gives you the opportunity to add more veggies and this is also an activity were you can include your whole family to help you out.
- If you have a dishwasher, then having lots of dirty dishes is no problem for you, but at the same time you don’t burn any extra calories. On the other hand, washing dishes yourself can enable you to burn around 70 calories during 30 minutes of this activity, which is a really good way to squeeze more exercise in your day.
