6 weight loss tips for 2016

With the New Year right around the corner comes everyone’s favorite time of the year and at the same time comes the chance to think about your own New Year’s resolutions. What are you going to decide to do – be a better person? Hang out with your friends more? Visit your grandparents? In this case, we don’t need a research to tell us that one of the most popular New Year’s Resolutions is to lose weight and get fit. Still, one study in the 2013 claimed that more than 30 percent of all adult Americans decided to lose weight as a part of New Year’s resolutions.

The gyms are going to be packed in the beginning of January (those who are exercising for a longer period know this too well), but most of the people who start in January don’t renew gym membership in February.

If you plan to start your fitness journey, here are some tips and tricks to help you:

  • Don’t bring your phone in the gym

This is not a standard tip, but it is worth mentioning – when you go to the gym you want to focus on your workouts and nothing more. Having your phone with you can only distract you and you will not get the most out of your exercising.

  • Don’t read or watch TV while exercising

If you want to get results sooner, you should stop watching TV or reading a book while exercising. The reason is simple – you should focus on your exercise to get the best results. Problem is that when you watch TV and run on a treadmill, you could slow down in order to be able to watch normally – without realizing.

  • Create a plan that should help you stay motivated

This is probably the most important thing you can do to ensure the success of your fitness journey – and you should do it before you even start. We all experience some difficult days, from time to time and in those days you need your bulletproof motivation plan.

  • Set your goals and create a plan that will help you reach them

In order to be able to know how far you’ve come it would be the best to track your progress from the first day. At the same time you should determine your fitness goals and start creating your plan (this plan should include everything from diet to exercising) that will help you achieve your goals.

  • Your exercising should fit in your lifestyle

We are all busy and sometimes it can be impossible to fit exercising in our schedule. Because of that it would be the best to consider exercises that fit in your busy schedule.

  • Hire a professional to help you with exercises

If you have been exercising for a while, but you feel that you don’t get results, you should hire a fitness professional to help you achieve your goals. Keep in mind that fitness professionals can give you important tips for diet, not just for exercising.
