25 things you can do every day to become a healthier and a happier person

The most important changes in our lives are not those big, life-altering ones, but those small changes, that can be also the hardest. There are lots of small changes that you can introduce in your life that can lead you toward a much healthier life.

If you are not ready to introduce some big changes in your life after all, here is a list of things you can do every day to become much healthier and happier at the same time:

  • When you wake up – drink a glass of warm water with freshly squeezed lemon juice (usually it is enough to squeeze just a half of lemon)
  • Do at least one training that will make you sweat – at the gym or at home
  • Do some HIIT (high intensity interval training) for at least 10-20 minutes
  • Prepare some green juice made out from kale, cucumber, carrot, celery, ginger and lime
  • Instead eating your regular breakfast swap it for a green smoothie (you can make it with spinach, bananas, apple, ginger and ice water)
  • Swap your coffee for a cup of green or herbal tea. You will get the same energy boost, but with less negative side effects (lots of coffee can make you nervous and edgy)
  • Try eating whole day a plant-based diet
  • Skip eating food that is processed, packaged or the food that has artificial sweeteners and preservatives
  • Do a few series of jumping jacks, rebound or rope jump to give a boost to your lymphatic system
  • Try to meditate for at least 10 minutes (even if you have never done it before)
  • Try to hug at least one person every day – it releases endorphins that should make you feel good
  • Try not to use all your devices for at least one hour
  • Go for a walk in a park or by a river – walking will help you clear your thoughts
  • Make sure that your body is hydrated – drink at least 2l of water
  • You should avoid cookies, milk chocolate, ice-cream, cheesecake and similar sweets that have high fat – high sugar combination
  • Try to eat a side green salad with every lunch and dinner
  • Instead of eating your lunch at your computer or in front of the TV, you could take it outside if it’s a nice day
  • Try to improve your posture by simply paying more attention from time to time – especially when you sit
  • In order to help your body cleanse itself from toxins you could take 1-2 grams of activated charcoal
  • Schedule and go get a massage
  • Try to think of five different things every day that you should be grateful for
  • Try to read at least 20 pages of a book every day
  • Clean up the space where you work and get rid of everything that is distracting you
  • Start creating a to-do list in order to prevent procrastinating and to be able to focus easier on tasks
  • Sleep at least 7 to 8 hours every night
